I’m Summer K., owner of GlamBat Studios — where pastel goth vibes meet hands-on makeup magic. I’m a self-taught artist and licensed esthetician who’s worked everywhere from theatre and fashion shows, haunted houses, weddings, and more. Along the way, I’ve also had the honor of honing my skills with teams at Lancôme, Sephora, and MAC Pro Store Michigan Avenue.

Growing up, I didn’t have anyone to show me the ropes — I learned from books, practiced on my friends at slumber parties, and a lot of trial and error. That’s why teaching has become my true passion. There’s nothing better than watching someone’s eyes light up when they realize, “Oh, I can do this!” Whether it’s your first time trying makeup, perfecting a glam party look, nailing a cosplay transformation, or creating looks for life’s biggest moments, I’m here to help you unlock your own beauty magic.

GlamBat Studios is a queer, female-led space built on the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and safe to be exactly who they are. From teens to adults, beginners to seasoned beauty babes, I share insider tips, tricks, and techniques in a fun, inclusive environment — all with creativity, laughter, and a sprinkle of glitter.

When I’m not teaching or glamming it up, I’m probably rolling dice as my favorite Dungeons & Dragons character, devouring a fantasy novel, or performing as Candi Forest, my drag alter ego. Through drag, I mix storytelling, artistry, and performance—hosting shows and storytimes across Illinois, spreading joy, color, and glitter wherever I go.
